Six days before Christmas 2003, on Dec. 19th 2003, Jarod Bennett
age six was tragically killed at his
elementary school (Louisa Wright) when a
290lb cafeteria table toppled hitting Jarod in the head. Just moments later his
mother arrived to pick him up for the day; she held and comforted him until his
last breath. Jarod’s tragic and unexpected death will have long lasting impacts
on his family, friends, school, teammates, and our community.
As a tribute to such a wonderful
little boy, and in the love and spirit of Jarod’s memory, his parents (Jim &
Jenny Bennett) have decided to establish the "Jarod Bennett Memorial Fund".
This fund will be used for a scholarship to assist eligible graduating
students of Lebanon High School achieve their college ambitions, and life
goals. Portions of this fund may also be used in support of philanthropic opportunities within the community which
benefit and support the interests of children.
Your support, kindness, and love is appreciated by the
Bennett Family.
